Spicewood
This mixed-use retail and restaurant building authentically captures the Texas ranch aesthetic through its exposed steel framework, substantial timber beams, vertically oriented weathered barn wood siding, and rough-cut oversized limestone. Designed for an arid climate, the architecture integrates sustainable features by harvesting rainwater via a distinctive butterfly-shaped roof that channels water into a raingarden. Thoughtfully designed landscaping envelopes the pathways and outdoor gathering areas, adding softness and vitality to the space.
The architect of record for this project is Col-lab Studio, with Design OFC providing design consultation throughout the development.
